Rental apartments in the NordKrone project

The new "Kronsrode" residential area is being built on three project sites on the southern Kronsberg. A total of around 4,000 residential units in apartment blocks and terraced houses as well as retail and service facilities, an elementary school and several daycare centers are planned.

Several hundred rental apartments are being built on various construction sites in Kronsrode North. The GWH Wohnungsgesellschaft apartments will be let under the project name NordKrone. 

A connecting, spacious city park, a multitude of public squares, green spaces and inner courtyards on the building plots ensure a high quality of life.

With tenant electricity and heat pumps

In cooperation with Avacon, GWH offers tenants in Kronsrode an environmentally friendly energy supply through tenant electricity. The photovoltaic systems installed on the roofs produce clean electricity that is used directly on site. Tenants benefit from a sustainable power supply at attractive conditions - the electricity price is around 10% below the basic supply tariff. This not only protects the environment, but also your wallet.

In addition to district heating, energy is also provided by modern heat pumps in the GWH construction sites. These provide an additional, efficient heat supply. Particularly sustainable: the heat pumps are largely powered by electricity from the company's own photovoltaic systems.

E-mobility and car sharing

In cooperation with Avacon, GWH provides tenants in Kronsrode with modern wallboxes for charging electric vehicles in the underground garages. With the practical R-fit charging card, you can easily activate your wallbox and conveniently charge your electric car on site. Billing takes place directly between you and Avacon. We also focus on sustainability here: part of the electricity used comes from our own photovoltaic systems.

Since July 1, 2024, GWH has provided two CarSharing parking spaces on construction site A1.2 on Kattenbrookstrift, right next to the tram stop. In cooperation with Stadtmobil Hannover, tenants can access a car flexibly and easily whenever they need it. For more information and to register, visit: Stadtmobil Hannover.

Your local service center

As part of the "NordKrone" new-build project in Hanover Kronsrode, GWH is opening a neighborhood office in construction site A5, which will manage around 1,000 residential units in future. 

At this central point of contact, janitors, sales staff and technicians work hand in hand to offer tenants professional advice and support in all matters relating to their apartment. 

GWH is also building and renting out a kindergarten on site. Further services are already being planned.

Kronsrode is located in the south of Hanover's city center, north of Laatzen and borders on the two districts of Kronsberg and Bemerode.

The urban extension is being built right next to the existing "Stockholmer Allee" light rail stop. This means that the city center can be reached by public transport in just a few minutes without having to change trains. The city center can also be easily reached by bike via the cycle path that runs through the district.

Short distances within the district and the connection to Hanover's Green Ring ensure optimal mobility. The district is directly connected to the highway network via the Messeschnellweg (B6).

The residential area will include an elementary school, several daycare centers, a sports hall, retail, local shops and restaurants, office space and meeting places.
