GWH Presents the GWH-ThüringenHaus

Following the successful market launch of the GWH-HessenHaus in the fall of 2025, GWH Wohnungsgesellschaft has further refined its concept for affordable rental housing and is now extending it to the neighboring state: In the future, cities, municipalities, and investors in Thuringia will also be able to benefit from the cost-optimized modular construction concept and have turnkey apartment buildings constructed quickly and cost-effectively on their own properties at a fixed price.
At the New Bauhaus Visionale on September 2 and 3 in Weimar, the team behind the GWH-ThüringenHaus will present the follow-up concept to an audience of industry professionals for the first time.
With the GWH-ThüringenHaus, GWH is now offering municipalities and investors in Thuringia—following its initiative in Hesse—a streamlined and practical solution to address tight local housing markets and actively promote housing construction. The underlying concept in both regions is the significantly more cost-effective creation of housing through detailed and highly efficient preliminary planning: Maximally efficient use of living space, optimized ceiling heights and floor slab thicknesses, as well as the relocation of storage areas from the basement into the apartments, are just a few of the adjustments that GWH has made in collaboration with the architectural firm grabowski.spork architektur to enable market-rate rents across much of Thuringia.
