GWH Becomes a Partner of NEW bauhaus
The GWH Group is a partner of NEW bauhaus. With approximately 53,000 managed apartments, the housing company is one of Germany’s largest property owners and is thus committed to supporting an interdisciplinary festival that explores the future of the built environment from various perspectives. NEW bauhaus will take place on September 2 and 3, 2026, in Weimar.
The partnership builds on GWH’s involvement in VISIONALE 2025, from which NEW bauhaus emerged. Stefan Bürger, Chairman of the Executive Board of the GWH Group, was already involved in the development of the predecessor format and is now a member of the NEW bauhaus Executive Committee. “The challenges surrounding housing, urban development, and the management of existing buildings can no longer be solved within the confines of individual disciplines. That is why we are convinced by the NEW bauhaus approach. The festival brings together people who often work in different systems in their day-to-day lives, but whose decisions are directly interconnected. This is precisely the kind of dialogue we need if we want to make the built environment sustainable for the future,” explains Stefan Bürger.
