Creating meaningful work together.

Through its human resources management, recruiting, and employer branding initiatives, GWH is actively adapting to the changing modern workplace and creating fair, secure, and attractive working conditions for its current and future workforce.

GWH’s approximately 650 employees are central to the company’s success. For this reason, GWH places great importance on safe, healthy, and fair working conditions and considers itself a responsible employer that fully respects the rights of its employees.

We place a special emphasis on actively involving our employees and fostering a work environment characterized by diversity, equal opportunity, and a non-discriminatory atmosphere. At the same time, we take into account different life stages and individual needs to help employees achieve a healthy work-life balance.

Occupational safety and health are a top priority at GWH. Trained safety officers, first aid and fire safety responders, and collaboration with an external occupational health service ensure comprehensive support for our employees. Regular training sessions, risk assessments, and the company’s return-to-work program help us continuously improve our standards.

Through targeted initiatives, GWH is taking additional steps to foster a healthy work environment. One example is the Health Week held at the Frankfurt location in September 2025, which focused on employee well-being for an entire week.

The offerings ranged from medical checkups—such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol screenings—to stress assessments, ergonomic workplace evaluations, and relaxation activities like short massages. The program was complemented by the introduction of the corporate fitness program EGYM Wellpass, which provides access to a nationwide network of fitness and health facilities.

GWH maintains a clear zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination and is actively committed to equal opportunity and diversity. Structurally, this is supported by, among other things, an officer for inclusion and equal treatment, as well as a representative for employees with severe disabilities. An inclusion agreement is currently in the final stages of implementation.

Through its “Female Leadership” initiative, targeted training programs, and networking opportunities, GWH supports women in leadership roles. At the same time, the company actively fosters age-diverse collaboration—for example, through exchange programs such as “Generation Talks” and the company agreement “Working in Later Life,” which supports healthy working conditions up to the standard retirement age and beyond.

The ongoing professional development of our employees is a central component of our HR strategy. Through the GWH Academy digital learning platform and a wide range of training programs, GWH fosters technical, digital, and personal skills.

Programs such as talent and cross-mentoring specifically strengthen networking and leadership skills—even across company boundaries. These offerings are complemented by personalized training sessions with internal experts and digital coaches, as well as financial support, for example, for part-time degree programs.

There is also a special focus on supporting the next generation: GWH trains approximately 30 to 40 apprentices and dual-track students, thereby laying an important foundation for the skilled workers of tomorrow.
