In these challenging times, GWH is standing by its tenants and promising to waive the right to terminate tenancies due to ancillary costs.
With the GWH Housing Promise GWH promises its tenants that it will not give notice of termination due to difficulties in paying service charges and that it will allow payment in installments and hourly agreements. The declaration comes into force with immediate effect and applies not only to bills and increased advance payments for 2022, but also to possible additional claims from the 2021 financial year. GWH is thus fulfilling its social responsibility and underlining its self-image as a reliable and fair landlord.
"Nobody will lose their GWH apartment because they can no longer pay their service charges on time," assures Stefan Bürger, CEO of GWH. "We are currently experiencing what is probably the worst financial market situation for consumers since the Second World War, so as a reliable landlord we are called upon to fulfill our social responsibility. Around 130,000 people live with us across Germany. They should all be able to live with us without existential fears."
