The first tenants have already moved in. The second construction phase with a further 135 apartments will follow by 2024.
Since spring 2021, a residential ensemble with eleven four-storey apartment buildings has been built along Karl-Busch-Straße in Heppenheim an der Bergstraße, grouped around a spacious and already lushly planted inner courtyard. GWH acquired the project development from Dutch construction company Ten Brinke, which is further developing the Gunderslache development area in the north of Heppenheim.
Around 2.5 kilometers from the city center, within sight of Lake Jochim, the rectangular apartment buildings offer open-plan layouts with one to four rooms and living spaces of between around 44 and 130 square meters. Floor-to-ceiling windows and room heights of 2.60 meters allow plenty of daylight into the interior. All apartments can be reached by elevator and have a (roof) terrace, balcony or loggia. GWH has already set up its own janitor's office in the building complex.
In a second construction phase, Ten Brinke will build a further 135 privately financed apartments in a total of five point blocks in the immediate vicinity of the current ensemble by 2024. GWH will also take over this section for its own rental portfolio after completion. The total site area of the project is around four hectares. In addition to a neighborhood square with open-air facilities for all age groups, the project also includes an underground parking garage with 56 parking spaces and a further 493 outdoor parking spaces.
