The new "Kronsrode" residential area is being built on three project sites on the southern Kronsberg. A total of around 3,500 residential units in apartment blocks and terraced houses are planned, as well as retail and service outlets, an elementary school and several daycare centers.
Several hundred rental apartments are being built on various construction sites in Kronsrode North. The GWH Wohnungsgesellschaft apartments will be let under the project name NordKrone.

Kronsrode is located in the south of Hanover's city center, north of Laatzen and borders on the two districts of Kronsberg and Bemerode.
The urban extension is being built right next to the existing "Stockholmer Allee" light rail stop. This means that the city center can be reached by public transport in just a few minutes without having to change trains. The city center can also be easily reached by bike via the cycle path that runs through the district.
Short distances within the district and the connection to Hanover's Green Ring ensure optimal mobility. The district is directly connected to the highway network via the Messeschnellweg (B6).
The residential area will include an elementary school, several daycare centers, a sports hall, retail, local shops and restaurants, office space and meeting places.
